Emanuel Sprosec
works since many years as art director, graphic artist and blogger in Vienna.
He loves photography, fashion, nature, huge amounts of cartoons and of course linux.
After drop out of my mum (1981) and then of school – and also after some confusion about the future – I started my life as normal teenager. I played computer-games and surfed around in the young world wide web all day long. It was a good and exciting life, but as you know, there is always somebody behind you, who say "Make something."
I was fascinated by pixels and the virtual, technical future – and so I built my first website and blog with useless content around 1999. Then I want to take the leadership of this small planet, but on this project... I'm still working on it (until today).
In the meanwhile, I realized more and more websites, a little bit later also hundreds of graphics, prints, animations and similiar stuff.
The classical way.
Aside of the virtual life, I discovered, that I really love fashion and photography.
So I took a camera and try to catch girls to be the next Helmut Newton. A few years later (2000) I worked as photographer- and film-assistant and started also a platform for austrian fashion-designers.
This project, it was called Fashionlabels, opened for me a new, huge world in the fashion-industry and I'm proud to say, that this online-project was one of the first open fashion-platforms in Austria.
2005 I met two creative girls, Christine and Sigrun, and together we founded C-Heads Magazine, an E-Zine for fashion, photography, music, trends and styles. This project still grows and the team and magazine have a lot of success until today.
I also worked for a international, austrian based NGO for eyecare in developing countries worldwide as editor & pr-assistant, later followed by a pr & service job at the public authority.
2010 I stopped to work as webdesigner and quit my participating at these projects, because I need a break and a new way of life. 24 hours a day on the computer, every day, every year – it was too much. Now I concentrate all my energy on my personal graphic projects and the assistance at fashion and film shootings in austria – the rest of the day I play with my two cats, meet friends, watch cartoons and go out into the nature.
A good, important and really nice decision.
I'm normally a quiet person, I hear Gypsy-music and love to hang around and talk with good friends. You can bribe me with chocolate and marzipan. I'm fascinated by minimalism, the silence of the wood, smokey eyes and strong-willed girls.
I'm also a big fan of experimental architecture, technology, opensource development, pixel-art and Donald Duck.
